Hey all, my name is Scott Flaherty and I’m a landscape photographer based in New York. First, I want to thank you for taking the time to visit my website. This has seemingly been a work in progress for as long as I can remember.
I got my start in photography after looking for a hobby to fill some free time after I had graduated college. I grew up skateboarding and always loved filming and watching skate videos with my friends so its no surprise that I decided to pick up photography. In the early years of my photography journey, I was taking photos of anything and everything. Living so close to NYC, cityscapes were a major focus of mine. Eventually I grew tired of the hustle and bustle of the city and craved something different to point my camera at..something quieter..something new. I began exploring some of the more scenic areas that were close to home. Gradually, overnight camping trips turned into multi day trips to the Adirondacks and eventually cross country trips. This hobby has grown into more than I could ever imagine when I bought my first camera. I have met some incredible people along the way and have been lucky enough to visit beautiful locations that I can confidently say I otherwise never would have.
I enjoy photographing all that nature has to offer..big dramatic landscapes, those overlooked quiet scenes and everything in between. Any day that I get to spend outside photographing this beautiful planet is a good day in my book. I hope you enjoy my galleries and please feel free to reach out. I’m always open to chat and answer any questions. Thanks again for taking a look.
